- The Bible used to feel overwhelming, boring, and outdated for me - until someone showed me it was less about studying for knowledge and more about connecting in relationship. Now I encounter God through the Bible with the help of the Spirit. Major difference!
- Prayer intimidated me because I never knew what to say, if God could even hear me, or if He really cared. Then a friend invited me to pray with him, and I just started parroting him, like a child parrots the words of his parents. Pretty soon I became confident asking, seeking, and knocking in prayer - and developed a personal conversational style with God.
- Rest isn’t just ceasing from activity, rest is a Person. Jesus says: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Sounds great, but I could never get there until my spiritual director showed me the way.

Hey! I’m so glad you found The Praxis Course. I provide Gospel guidance for spiritual, emotional, and relational health. Through transformational leadership coaching, spiritual direction, marriage care, wilderness adventure, online courses like this - I encourage and equip followers of Christ to thrive in their identity, freedom, and influence.
I have over 28 years of experience in leadership and ordained ministry serving as a pastor, church planter, regional leader, and missionary bishop in the Anglican Communion. I’ve planted two churches, started several non-profits, and taught numerous training workshops. I’m a certified leadership coach, spiritual director, and wilderness survival instructor. I’ve been married to Amanda for 24 years, and we have three children 20, 16, and 14 (and two Australian shepherds).
